About Us
I have based my legal practice on providing clients sound legal advice and tailoring my services to match their individual and specific legal needs. Hence, my firm’s ultimate focus on Principled Advice and Practical Solutions. My attention to the bottom line was derived from years of work for commercial companies. Sound legal advice requires an understanding that sometimes the best approach to resolve a dispute is not through expensive and protracted litigation but creative thinking.
I attended California State University Chico where I earned dual degrees in Political Science and Public Administration. During my time at CSU Chico, I served as Director of CSU Chico’s Legal Aid Clinic and also as captain of Chico’s Lacrosse team. I have lived in the Central Coast area and on the the Monterey Peninsula since 1990 and currently live in Salinas with my family.
Prior to earning my Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Monterey College of Law in 2003, I worked in the commercial insurance and agricultural industries for 15 years. For 5 years, I served as Dole Fresh Vegetables’ Manager of Casualty, Property and Product Liabilities where I supervised Dole’s national self-insurance retention exposure, negotiated settlements of coverage disputes, and investigated insurance related claims.
As an experienced litigator and trial attorney I have worked extensively to resolve agricultural, insurance, general business and private disputes. I have also advocated on behalf of special needs students. I have litigated matters throughout Southern and Northern California with extensive litigation experience in the Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Bento Counties Superior Courts. I am admitted to practice in the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of the United States Federal Court in California. I am also a member of the Monterey County Bar Association.
