General Civil Litigation – Agricultural Law – Insurance Disputes – Special Education Law
I am an experienced litigator and trial attorney and have worked extensively to resolve agricultural, insurance and general business disputes. I have also advocated on behalf of special needs students. Prior to earning my Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Monterey College of Law in 2003, I worked in the commercial insurance and agricultural industries for 15 years. For 5 years, I served as Dole Fresh Vegetables’ Manager of Casualty, Property and Product Liabilities where I supervised Dole’s national self-insurance retention exposure and negotiated settlements of coverage disputes.
By combining my knowledge of the law with my business and insurance experience, I seek to maximize my clients’ bottom line by informing them not only of the chances of litigation success but also its costs and viable alternatives. I understand that sometimes the best approach to resolve a dispute is not through expensive and protracted litigation, but creative thinking.
